N8N at Novel-t
At Novel-T, we spend a lot of time helping clients improving workflows. It was about time we turned that lens inward.
We’ve been building internal automation pipelines using n8n to connect Dropbox, Outlook, Slack, Postgres and Sharepoint and the results are already changing how we work day to day.
Three workflows that have made a difference:
Onboarding a new project involves a set of repetitive tasks each time: setting up time tracking views, creating mailing lists, granting folder access. Now, a conversational AI agent walks through the setup interactively, calling the right tools at each step. What used to take 20-30 minutes of context-switching is now a guided 5-minute conversation.
RFP evaluation is where things get more interesting. From the moment we identify a tender, an automated pipeline scouts the document, pulls in relevant context, and produces a structured summary – scope, fit, red flags, effort estimate. Our team gets a clear brief to make the bid/no-bid decision, instead of spending hours parsing dense procurement documents.
Monthly reporting used to be the most painful one. Now a single pipeline pulls time tracking data, fetches completed GitHub tickets with their associated sizing and pricing, and cross-references everything against billed amounts and SLA compliance targets. It generates a client-ready PDF invoice with KPI reports attached. What used to be a half-day of spreadsheet gymnastics now runs in minutes.
In all three cases, AI doesn’t replace judgment, it removes the friction before judgment is needed.
We’re curious: do any of these ring a bell for your team? Painful onboarding checklists, tender documents that eat up whole afternoons, end-of-month reporting that no one looks forward to?
We’d love to hear how others are tackling these – and if you’d like to explore building something similar, we’re happy to exchange ideas.
