Happy Earth Day – from people who stare at it all day.
At Novel-T, we spend our days looking at the planet from above. Satellite imagery, drone data, geospatial models, sensor networks. The Earth isn’t an abstraction for us – it’s our raw material.
And the more you look at it, the more you notice things: where clean water doesn’t reach, where disease travels through wastewater before anyone raises an alarm, where informal settlements grow faster than the maps that are supposed to represent them.
That’s the work. Not saving the planet with a logo filter – but building the tools that help epidemiologists, urban planners, and public health teams actually see what’s happening on the ground, and act on it.
So today we’re not planting a symbolic tree (though, please, plant trees). We’re doing what we do every day: turning messy Earth data into something useful for the people who need it most.
Here’s to the planet. And to everyone working on the hard problems it keeps handing us.
